2026–2027 SeasonThe season runs from Fall 2026 through Spring 2027.
The Climb Yukon Association (CYA) is the governing body for indoor climbing in the Yukon and a member of Climb Escalade Canada (CEC). Our programs maintain low athlete-to-coach ratios and provide opportunities for skill development, competition, and personal growth.
Program PhilosophyOur programs follow Sport Canada's Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model and use climbing to help young people build confidence, resilience, kindness, and independence.
Athletes are encouraged to challenge themselves, set goals, learn from both success and failure, and contribute to a positive team environment. Training combines structured instruction with play-based learning and emphasizes individual development. Because there is no single "right way" to climb, our coaches use an athlete-centered approach that encourages problem-solving, creativity, and discovery.
Competition is encouraged at the level that's right for each athlete. We focus on personal growth, learning, and giving your best effort rather than results alone.

TryoutsTryouts are only required for the Development and Competition Teams. They will take place in late August or early September, with details announced before registration opens. Athletes of all experience levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.
