Floor Staff
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome members and guests, providing a friendly, professional first impression.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by engaging with visitors and promoting a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.
- Manage member check-ins, sales, and facility access at the front desk.
- Support floor supervision and ensure climbers are following safety guidelines.
- Assist with group sessions or programs.
- Provide bouldering orientations and climbing assessments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas, including gear and facilities.
- Uphold safety and risk management practices at all times.
- Support inventory tracking, restocking, and daily closing procedures.
- Contribute to community events and programming as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Experience in customer service, recreation, or similar environment
- Friendly, reliable, and proactive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- Situational awareness and attention to safety
- Willingness to learn climbing basics and group facilitation
PREFERRED
- Experience or interest in climbing (bouldering, top-rope, or sport)
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Familiarity with Rock Gym Pro or other gym management systems
- Experience supporting youth or recreational programs
ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Confident and comfortable working in a high traffic environment
- Constantly standing and walking for long periods of time
