Why An Assessment ?
Climbers require the necessary skills to top rope and lead climb safely.
Book a one-time assessment with a staff member to be cleared for these activities.
Top Rope Assessment
⚠️This assessment is not a lesson. No coaching, instruction, or corrective feedback will be provided during the assessment. The assessor’s role is to observe and evaluate only. Redoing an assessment on the same day is not permitted.⚠️
You will be asked to demonstrate standard top-rope belaying practices without assistance using GriGri or the PBUS technique.
If you are not familiar or comfortable with using a GriGri or the PBUS technique, we strongly recommend taking a Top-Rope Lesson before your assessment.
